Quant formula revision sheet for SSC CGL

The week before SSC CGL is not the time to open a thick maths book. It is the time to run through one sheet of formulas and results you have already learned, until every one is instantly available. A compact revision sheet covering arithmetic, algebra, geometry, mensuration, trigonometry and statistics — organised for rapid recall, with a method for using it.

Every successful SSC CGL candidate has some version of a formula sheet — a few pages they can revise in half an hour. The point is not to learn formulas from it at the last minute; it is to keep what you already know fresh and fast. Use this sheet as a model, then build your own with the results you personally tend to forget.

How to use it

  1. Read one section and cover the right-hand side; recall each formula.
  2. Mark anything you hesitate on.
  3. Solve two questions on each marked item the same day.
  4. Revise the whole sheet twice a week in the final month.

SSC CGLQuantitative AptitudeTier 2 mathematics for SSC CGL: what changesTier 2 maths uses the same chapters as Tier 1, but the questions combine concepts, the options sit closer together and each wrong answer costs a full mark. What actually changes, five worked multi-step questions, the arithmetic of guessing, and a four-week plan. 7 min read·15 Oct 2026SSC CGLQuantitative AptitudeFast calculation techniques for SSC CGLIn a section with 36 seconds per question, calculation speed matters as much as concepts. You don't need "Vedic maths magic" — you need a handful of reliable techniques: squares near 50 and 100, multiplying by 5, 25 and 11, percentage shortcuts, digit-sum checks and smart approximation. What to memorise, which tricks are worth learning, a 20-minute daily drill, and practice with answers. 3 min read·14 Oct 2026SSC CGLQuantitative AptitudeStatistics and probability for SSC CGLSSC CGL Tier 2 lists statistics and probability in its mathematics syllabus, and questions on mean, median, mode, range and simple probability appear regularly. They are short, predictable and formula-based. The measures of central tendency and dispersion, grouped data basics, probability with coins, dice and cards, and worked examples with answers — plus a note on the separate Statistics paper for JSO aspirants. 3 min read·13 Oct 2026SSC CGLQuantitative AptitudeData interpretation for SSC CGLA table of production figures, a line graph of revenue, a pie chart of a budget.
